Daventry North East - Sustainable Urban Extension

Public Consultation

Welcome to the Consultation Website

Welcome to the pre-application consultation website for Daventry North East Sustainable Urban Extension.

Barratt, David Wilson Homes and Davidsons Developments are developing proposals for 4,000 new homes to the north east of Daventry, on an area of land allocated as a Sustainable Urban Extension in the adopted West Northamptonshire Joint Core Strategy (Policy D3).  Policy D3 states that the following should be included:

  • 4,000 new dwellings;
  • Primary schools;
  • Secondary school site;
  • Local centres and community facilities;
  • Integrated transport network – connecting to the Town Centre, Southbrook and Long Buckby train station;
  • Greenspace and wildlife corridors (including a corridor for the canal arm); and
  • Extension to the Country Park.

The developers and the landowners are keen to create a settlement which is integrated with both Daventry Town and its rural surroundings.

The developers wish to involve local people in shaping ideas for the development of the site. This website provides details of the Concept Masterplan proposals for the site as well as further information about the work we have been undertaking. You can leave any comments you may have about the proposals on the Make Your Views Known page.
